Abstract

In the 21st century, Mediation is a vital element for peace. It is also indispensable in global communities. Social dynamics are immersed in a whirlwind of structural changes, of information technology, of new forms of relationships between people who are not limited to establishing networks with those close to them physically, whether in the community or in the geographic region in which they reside. It spreads beyond borders and traditional spaces of interaction. The main objective is to identify challenges of mediation in a multicultural context, the mechanisms that are applied and the effectiveness they present in conflict management. To do this, it is crucial to point out that multiculturalism allows for the integration of people and communities without affecting the natural identity process of cultures in certain geographical spaces. The research design is deductive-inductive since it involves relational logical reasoning; its application aims to provide answers to a specific situation, with the analysis of documents such as laws and theories. It is qualitative descriptive in that it compiles and processes bibliography, laws and theories of the current nature and composition of the phenomenon to be investigated.
