Abstract

The design and implementation of a IoT (Internet of Things) sensor network is presented. The network is used in a simulated Domotics application. Different technologies are integrated, such as the particle ® photon development board, which coordinates communication amongst different sensors used; Cloud computing technology, using the IBM ® Node Red application to program the graphical user interface that can be accessed through an instance on a server mounted on IBM Cloud ®, thus providing the possibility of consulting anytime and anywhere, through of a computer or a smart phone the operating status of the sensors and the value of variables such as temperature, gas concentration, lighting on/off status and motion detection in rooms. Details about the system architecture and the obtained results are also provided.
