Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is one of the most common autoimmune arthropathies in the state of Sonora. The research aimed to determine anti-citrullinated peptide antibodies (anti-CCP) in female patients from H. Caborca, using the IgG/IgA method as form of early detection for RA. The study was carried out in four stages, first, the call for the selection of patients and the taking of biological samples was disseminated, second, the presence of rheumatoid factor (RF) was determined by the latex method, third, anti-CCP was quantified by the ELISA technique, fourth, the analysis of the results obtained in the second and third steps was carried out using the Office 365 Excel® Software. A response was obtained from 75 applicants to participate in the study. According to the inclusion, exclusion and elimination criteria, 36 patients were admitted, with an average age of 46 years. After analyzing the results obtained, 18 patients were weakly positive for anti-CCP and two with RF production. The patients who presented positive RF did not present anti-CCP, confirming that the presence of RF is not specific for RA, so that anti-CCP are an effective biological marker for the diagnosis of the disease.
